When you use Envilo AI, we collect the following types of information:
Personal Information: Your name, email address, and account credentials when you create an account.
Mail Content: Images of physical mail that you scan using the app, along with extracted text and AI-generated analysis.
Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and improving our services.
Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including features used and time spent, to help us improve the user experience.
We use the collected information to:
Provide Services: Process and analyze your scanned mail using OCR and AI technologies.
Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix issues.
Send Communications: Notify you about important updates, new features, and security alerts.
Protect Security: Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other illegal activities.
Your data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage when available. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
Local Storage: Mail scans, analysis results, and drafts are stored locally on your device.
Secure Authentication: Your account credentials are protected using secure hashing and never stored in plain text.
Biometric Lock: You can enable Face ID or Touch ID to add an extra layer of security.
Envilo AI uses the following third-party services:
Google Cloud Vision API: For optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from scanned documents.
OpenAI API: For AI-powered mail analysis and response generation.
PostGrid: For sending physical letters when you use the mail sending feature.
These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Access: Request a copy of all data we have about you.
Export: Download your data in a portable format.
Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.
Correction: Update or correct your personal information.
Opt-Out: Disable analytics and marketing communications.
To exercise these rights, go to Settings > Data & Privacy.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
You can delete individual mail items at any time, and they will be permanently removed from local storage.
Envilo AI is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
